2006 Spirit of Independence Award Honoree
Congratulations to this year’s Spirit of Independence honoree Senator Nick Spano. He was presented with the Spirit of Independence Award for
his tireless advocacy work for people with disabilities. In the many years he served as NYS Senator he earned respectfully the reputation for being a staunch advocate and leader around many issues surrounding people with disabilities, especially for his work as the Chairperson of the Mental Health Committee.
